PHILOSOPHY
TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
My teaching philosophy is founded on lifelong learning, along with a fun and safe environment, communication, and student responsibility and needs. I want my students to reach their fullest potential intellectually and emotionally. My students and I will work as a whole class to create procedures that work for everyone. My classroom will also focus on the specific needs of my students through differentiated instruction in ways that my students' unique skills are emphasized. Another part of my teaching philosophy is the foundation of classroom management which has a positive impact on student learning and creates a supportive and accepting classroom environment.
CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT PHILOSOPHY
My classroom management philosophy is founded on creating a fun and safe environment that allows students to learn. This is based on Conscious Discipline, Wong, Marzano, and Love and Logic. Procedures based on Conscious Discipline and the consistency of routines help to build trust and relationships. Students will be able to follow daily procedures through their own responsibility, safety, and problem-solving. One main goal is to find a strategy that works to help students gain self-regulation emotionally and physically. I want my students to feel and create a sense of belonging for one another and work on continuing relationship building. There will also be consistency through procedures, classroom management/rules, communication between parents, students, and teachers, the idea of self-concept, and the needs of my students.
